I can only say that it was the most fantastic day of our 7 day cruise. We were meet by tour guide at the dock and taken on a short tour of the town. Our guide was very knowledgeable and demonstrated real enthusiasm, it was great to stop on the way to take photos of the local wild life. The time spent at Altun-Ha just flew by. The stop on the way back to the boat, and lunch at a small road side house was magical - I can only praise the cook for a real Belize style meal, full of flavour and so different from the stodgy on the boat. All in all the very best of personal service from a team of people who live and love their land and want to and do their best to share it with us. Thank you for a really great day. I research Mayan Ruin sites and tour providers on the internet. Most tours seemed impersonal and I wanted a guide who would cater to the needs of our six family members(including my parents age 82 and 84). Allen our guide to Xunantunich exceeded our expectations. We travelled in a luxurious van ( not like the rickity buses we heard some other companies used!) Our Mayan Ruins tour was informative and entertaining. Lunch was local and delicious.
