■Where we will meet ! In Belize, the ships anchor away from land, so you need to be tendered in by small boats to the dock. The pier is divided in terminals each used by a different cruise line. Your tour guide will wait for you at the exit of Terminal #1 holding up a sign with the name “Experience Belize Tours” written on it. You will be able to see it from a distance. How to find Terminal#1 As you get closer to shore, you will notice the last building towards your right it is named "Reef" that is terminal #1. The building is painted green have a wide entrance with a small restaurant area on one side and a small pharmacy on the other, then “Tanzanite” jewelry sections on both sides, Exit the glass doors in the middle where two guards are standing, if they try to stop you , tell them you have a booked tour. Your guide will be waiting for you right outside. The guide will lead you to your transport. Pay the lead guide if you have not paid in advance and follow his lead. The rest is fun! ■How to pay for your tour? We offer 2 payment options for tours for cruise ship passengers, day tours for overnight stays.
For Online Payments- After you book your tour with us we will send a reference number which you will place in a box on the following page. http://www.make_payments.html This will take you to our banker's-Atlantic Bank Ltd's secure site. Once you have completed that process Atlantic Bank will send you a confirmation email. We will then also send you a confirmed reservation email. Please note that you will need to make the full payment for your tour if you choose to pay on-line. ■ What to wear and bring along on your tour! Be casual, you can leave your jewelry or expensive watch on board or at home and just bring an inexpensive watch that is suitable for hiking. As the sun is probably more intense than what you are accustomed to at home, a hat with a wide brim will provide shade from the tropical sun, as well as protection from a tropical shower. A pair of "polarized" sunglasses will protect your eyes and enhance the variable colors of the coastal water of Belize. Loose fitting, light colored cotton pants and shorts, along with a comfortable pair of hiking shoes or boots are appropriate for exploring the mainland or when visiting Ancient Mayan sites or walking through the jungle; Be aware that most sites do not sell beverages and snacks, so a daypack to carry a water bottle, energy bars, binoculars, poncho, hand towel, prescription drugs, sunscreen, insect repellent and other personal items would be a good idea. |
